What is life like beyond the campus of Iowa State University? Get ready for an experience that will help you learn more than just how to graduate, but how to be a graduate. Success Beyond A Degree is a professional conference that will give you the tools you need to transition out of Iowa State, build networks and resources, feel connected as a member of the Iowa State University alumni community, and set goals that will ensure your success for years to come.

Success Beyond A Degree will be held February 23, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Howe Hall. Map of location and parking area here.  Success Beyond A Degree is Iowa State’s professional development conference for juniors and seniors.

Here at Iowa State, there are numerous programs that help develop leadership and personal skills for younger students, but very few that focus on the needs of students as they prepare to graduate. Through much research and discussion, the idea of a professional conference seemed the ideal format to attain our objectives:

  • To provide an opportunity for students to learn how to transition from Iowa State
  • To give students an opportunity for networking and resources
  • To provide connection opportunities for students and ISU alumni
  • To help students outline specific goals upon graduation

Alliant Energy-Lee Liu Auditorium in Howe Hall
Congressman Braley's entertaining keynote address will focus on his transition from Iowa State into the work world and provide advice on how to overcome obstacles and become successful.

This runway-style fashion show will give you insight for choosing appropriate attire for job interviews and the workplace. Receive tips to transition from your college clothing to a professional wardrobe.
