Iowa State University Homecoming 2008 Cardinal Court Scholarship Information

Celebrate this year’s Cyclone Homecoming and raise the profile of academic excellence by applying for the $500 Cardinal Court Scholarship.

Applicants must have an ISU cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and a minimum of 90 Iowa State credits.  Applicants will be judged on their character, academic achievement, dedication to the university and city of Ames, and two short essay questions. Current Student Alumni Leadership Council executive committee members are ineligible.  Members of the Ambassadors, SCC, and Cyclone Alley committees may apply.

Applications are due Tuesday, September 30^th at 5:00 PM.  Completed applications can be turned in to Cecilia Dunlay in the new Alumni Center room 1105.  Ten finalists will be selected (5 males, 5 females) and finalist interviews will take place Tuesday, October 14^th from 6:30-10:00 pm. The winning male and female will be notified on Thursday, October 16th and will be presented on Friday night at the pep rally.

The two winners will also be announced before kickoff of the Homecoming game on Saturday, October 25th and are asked to be available to attend the Alumni Tailgate 3 hours prior to the game. Both will receive a $500 scholarship.

In addition, the king and queen are required to attend the following events:

- VEISHEA Parade
- Other various events throughout the year to represent ISU.
