ISU Homecoming Scholarship

Be a part of a new tradition...Celebrate the tradition of Iowa State University and raise the profile on academic excellence, student involvement, and community service of the student body by applying for the “Cardinal Court Scholarship.”

The top five finalists will have the opportunity to represent ISU at events throughout the year.  Additionally, the following scholarships will be awarded:
1st place will receive a $500 scholarship
2nd place will receive a $250 scholarship
3rd, 4th, and 5th place will each receive a $100 scholarship

Applications due: Friday, September 22, 2006
To the SALC Office, Fisher-Nickell Hall, 214 Richardson Court

Applicants must have an ISU cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher with a minimum of 30 ISU credits.  Applications will be judged on involvement, goals and objectives, and two short essay questions.

The top five finalists will be introduced at the Homecoming Pep Rally on Friday, October 20th at 6:00 PM in the Scheman Courtyard.

Finalists will be contacted Friday, October 6, 2006.
Interviews will be held from 5:00 – 10:00 PM on Tuesday, October 10, 2006.

The 1st place winner is asked to attend the following events to represent Iowa State University as the 2006 Cardinal King or Queen:
Friday, October 20: 6:00 PM – Midnight
   - Pep Rally & Yell-Like-Hell Final Cuts
   - ExCYtement in the Streets
   - Mass Campaniling
Saturday, October 21, 2006: 2 hours before game time
   - Homecoming Tailgate, Parking Lot A4
Spring 2007
  - VEISHEA Parade 2007
  - ISU Alumni Association club event and/or ISU community visit.
