Alumni Networking Dinners

Alumni Networking Dinners

Alumni Networking Dinners are opportunities for current students to network and connect with Iowa State Alumni from a variety of professions in a casual environment.  Students meet with Alumni in their home and share a meal together.

This semester's Networking Dinner is being hosted by Lisa ('03) and Matt Frerichs ('04).  Lisa's degree is in journalism and mass communication (PR emphasis) although she has held the following positions since graduating in 2003: inside sales representative, marketing coordinator, marketing manager, and corporate communications.  Lisa works at the Krell Institute in Ames (www.krellinst.org) her second position since graduating from Iowa State.  She is also  involved in several groups outside of her position at Krell, including Young Professionals of Ames, the Iowa State Alumni Association Young Alumni Council, P.E.O., and the Ames Foundation.  Lisa is a strong advocate of the importance of getting connected in the community.

Matt graduated from Iowa State in 2004 with a degree in electrical engineering.  He works for John Deere Des Moines Works (Ankeny) and is presently a quality process and technologies supervisor.  He works with SAP and is focused on Deere's sprayer and tillage lines.  He completed a few internships with Deere while in college and worked in Waterloo prior to moving back to Ames.  He has several hobbies outside of work that bring balance to his life (fishing, beer brewing, computer programming, woodworking, etc.).

The Frerich's have graciously invited up to 10 Iowa State students to their home on Tuesday, March 6 at 6:30 p.m. for an evening of food and conversation.  Please sign up below if you wish to participate.  Only 10 students will be selected to participate, and participants will be notified before Friday, Feb. 24 if they have been selected.
